Students worked on paper models of robots and competed against each other with mechanical bottoms.
Team work - Students worked together to build a tall tower. This is one of the simple activities use in industry (Carter Catepillar) to get the workers to realize how important it is to work together.
Each person was given 10 blocks -- but had the option to work with 3 other people. There would be no way possible to get the tallest tower alone, they had to work together! The Engineering and Architectural Drawing Class had an excellent guest speaker today. Mr. Montegomery from Spectrum Designs in Roanoke, VA came to talk to us about wiring a break room. I know I learned so much! It is exciting to do a real world project!
Below is a basic math problem used to figure out how many circuits they will need for their break room design. Students are actively working on many exciting projects. Below is a link to one of my student's websites in Intro to Engineering.
http://georgeengineering.weebly.com/roller-coaster.html The students worked hard on their roller coasters! Below is a video on one of the presentations! GREAT Job- Intro to Engineering Students Black, I know I am a little weird. That's Ok. I think we all have interesting differences!
